Employment Conditions

The ACT Audit Office provides interesting and challenging work and offers a range of flexible working conditions to balance each individual’s circumstances with the needs of the organisation. The Office also supports staff by providing learning and development opportunities.

The Office recognises that enhanced flexibility in attendance and working arrangements has the potential to deliver benefits to the auditees, staff and the Office itself. The Office seeks to optimise those benefits by fairly balancing the interests of all stakeholders.

Employment entitlements

Staff are engaged under the terms of the ACT Public Service Administrative and Related Classifications Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017 (the Enterprise Agreement). The Enterprise Agreement provides a range of flexible work practices such as flexitime scheme (for staff members below Senior Manager), negotiated hours of employment and part-time work.

Enterprise Agreement

The conditions of employment of staff members are those contained in the ACT Public Sector Management Act 1994 and related Public Sector Management Standards except as provided in the Enterprise Agreement. The current Enterprise Agreement nominally expired on 30 June 2017. A new agreement is currently being negotiated.
